This February, we’re all about celebrating love under the sea at Birch Aquarium! Whether you're planning the perfect date night, a Galentine’s gathering, or a day dedicated to self-love, we’ve got some unforgettable experiences waiting for you.
Whale you be their Valentine? Send some love to our animals!
Roses are red, the ocean is blue, our animals would love a Valentine from you! This February, spread some love by writing a Valentine for one of your favorite ocean animals at the aquarium! Stations will be set up around the aquarium throughout the month, available while supplies last. We may even share some of our favorites on social media!
Date Night at the Aquarium
Join us for Oceans of Night: Oceans of Love where you can sip on "Love Potion" cocktails and mocktails, explore the spicy sea-crets of underwater love and courtship and create a Valentine or luminary for someone special and more! Plus, enjoy special animal interactions, including shark and ray feedings, tide pool feeding, and a stunning display of fluorescent coral in our Living Light experience. This 21+ event is on Thursday, February 27 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.
Enjoy a Sunset Stroll
Ready for a sunset stroll with a splash of science? Grab your special someone and join us for a Sunset Scripps Pier Walk! Look for wildlife above and below the Pier, collect plankton and observe it under a microscope, learn about incredible Scripps Oceanography research and more during this unforgettable experience.
