Valentina Di Santo

Valentina Di Santo is an Assistant Professor at Scripps Institution of Oceanography, where she leads the Di Santo Lab. This lab explores how abiotic factors alter the performance, behavior and morphology of fishes. In particular how climate change stressors — such as ocean warming, acidification and hypoxia — impact how fish move and behave. The lab also team up with engineers to create bio-inspired underwater robots.

Dovi Kacev

Dovi Kacev is a shark researcher and teaching professor at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography. His research delves into the fascinating and mysterious world of sharks and rays, focusing on their habitats, behaviors and movement patterns. Driven by a lifelong passion, Dovi is dedicated to uncovering the secrets of shark and ray ecology to deepen our understanding and support conservation and sustainability efforts.
