How to Register

Priority Registration
Sessions fill quickly, so be sure to register early. Our Aquarium Associates members can take advantage of priority registration starting on March 5, 2019, at 9 a.m. (PST). Priority registration can only be done by phone. To register early, please call 858-534-7336.

Public Registration
Registration for the general public and all other members (Individual, Dual, and Family level) begins on March 12, 2019, online at 12 a.m. (PST) (and by phone at 9 a.m.) and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Enroll your child according to the age he/she will be starting June 24, 2019. Our programs are designed for the age group specified, and age grouping will be strictly upheld. Birth certificate verification is required for any child entering Pre-K camps.

Registering online will be the quickest and most secure way to process your payment. You can also register by phone or in person. We accept payments by credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover Card) or check. We cannot hold your child’s space in a program until we have received full payment.

Once your registration is processed, a confirmation packet will be emailed to you instantly. If you do not receive this email, please contact us as soon as possible.  This email will contain important information directing you to a password safe website where you will be able to download all of your camp details (map, waivers, camp description, supplies needs, etc.). It is important that you visit this web page to obtain the items needed for the first day of camp.

Cancelation and Rescheduling Policy

Camps are refundable until seven (7) days prior to the start of that camp, less a $50 service charge. There will be no refunds within one (1) week of the camp.

Rescheduling is dependent on availability. There is a $25 rescheduling fee for each instance of rescheduling a camp. You can reschedule a camp up to seven (7) days before the start of your original camp, if a spot is available. If you reschedule within seven (7) days of the start of your camp, you are responsible for paying the full amount for the camp spot vacated, in addition to the camp spot you have rescheduled to.

Should a camp have insufficient enrollment, it will be canceled five (5) days prior to the scheduled start date. In this event, a full refund will be made, or an opportunity to enroll in another camp—space permitting—will be provided.

Three-hour complimentary parking is available for aquarium visitors. Camp participants will have access to 15-minute pick-up/drop-off parking spaces in the lot. We ask that you park in the lot and escort your child to the camp check-in table by the Education Office. Please do not park in the traffic circle when dropping off or picking up your child due to the high volume of summertime visitors and clearance for emergency vehicles.

Student-to-Staff Ratio

In our classroom and field programs, the student-to-staff ratio is at least 5:1 for ages 4-5 and 7:1 for ages 6 and up. Programs that take place in the ocean have a 5:1 ratio for all ages.
