Camp Information and Registration

Summer 2020 Information is Coming in Early February

How to Register  Immunization Requirements  Cancellation and Rescheduling  Financial Aid

How to Register

Online registration is the quickest and most secure way to process your payment. You can also register in person or by calling 858-534-7336. We accept payments by credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover Card) or check (in-person only).

We cannot hold your child’s space in a program until we have received full payment.

Priority Registration

Our Aquarium Associates members and above can take advantage of priority registration. Sessions fill quickly, so be sure to register early.

Public Registration

Registration for the general public and all other members (Individual, Dual, and Family level) will begin later.

Age Requirements

Enroll your child according to the age he/she will be by the start of the camp session. Our programs are designed for the age group specified, and age grouping will be strictly upheld. Birth certificate verification is required for any child entering four and five year old camps.

Camp Confirmation Materials

Once your registration is processed, a confirmation packet will be emailed to you instantly. If you do not receive this email, please contact us as soon as possible.  This email will contain important information directing you to a password-safe website where you will be able to download all of your camp details:

  • Map(s)
  • Waiver and Health History forms
  • Camp description and supplies needs, etc.

It is important that you visit this web page to obtain the items needed for the first day of camp.

Immunization Requirements

All campers must be fully immunized to participate in camp. A statement from the custodial parent/guardian attesting that all immunizations required for school are up to date, including the date (month/year) for last tetanus shot, is required. This record can be obtained from your child’s school or physician and attached to the Health History form. We require a current health history every camp season.

Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy

  • Cancellation Fee: $50
  • Rescheduling Fee: $25
  • No refunds within one (1) week of camp*

Camps are refundable until seven (7) days prior to the start of that camp, less a $50 cancellation fee. *There will be no refunds within one (1) week of the camp.

There is a $25 rescheduling fee for each instance of rescheduling a camp. You can reschedule a camp up to seven (7) days before the start of your original camp, if a spot is available. *If you reschedule within seven (7) days of the start of your camp, you are responsible for paying the full amount for the camp spot vacated, in addition to the camp spot you have rescheduled to.

Should a camp have insufficient enrollment, it will be canceled five (5) days prior to the scheduled start date. In this event, a full refund will be made, or an opportunity to enroll in another camp—space permitting—will be provided.

Financial Aid Available

Thanks to the generosity of our donors, a limited amount of financial aid is available for campers who demonstrate financial need.

Three-hour complimentary parking is available for aquarium visitors. Camp participants will have access to 15-minute pick-up/drop-off parking spaces in the lot. We ask that you park in the lot and escort your child to the camp check-in table by the Education Office.

Please do not park in the traffic circle when dropping off or picking up your child due to the high volume of summertime visitors and clearance for emergency vehicles.
