In May 2021, Birch Aquarium is launching the next iteration of the Jeffrey B. Graham Perspectives on Ocean Science Lecture Series with a three-part virtual series dedicated to Scripps Oceanography's collaborative work with a wide-range of government and academic partners to address some of the most challenging environmental issues facing the western US today.
Scripps research contributes immeasurably to understanding our changing planet. Equally important are Scripps programs that provide data, tools and research that help us as a society devise strategies for resilience in the face of these changes. This three part Perspectives on Ocean Science mini-series will delve into three Scripps-based programs that inform science-based decision making, resource management, and climate change adaptation as a key part of their mission.
