Self-Guided Aquarium Visit
Encounter a dazzling variety of marine life from the cold
waters of the Pacific Northwest to the tropical seas of Mexico and the
South Pacific. Also experience our outdoor tide-pool plaza overlooking
the sparkling Pacific Ocean and our engaging museum featuring exhibits which highlight the latest research by Scripps explorers.
Docent Assisted Tours:
Ask-Me-Docent The docent will greet the group, point out the
highlights of the aquarium and walk around with the group to answer
questions. The duration of the tour is one hour with a docent, leaving
time to visit the rest of the facility on your own
Group rate plus $45/docent
Minimum: 10 people
Maximum: 25 people per docent
Tank-By-Tank TourA docent will be provided for every ten
participants in a guided visit of all the tanks in the aquarium. The
duration of the tour is one hour with the docents, leaving time to
visit the rest of the facility on your own.

Ocean Discovery For SeniorsThis is a special hands-on program
designed for senior citizens with a sense of curiosity. Seated at
discovery stations in our private classroom, explore the behavior and
natural history of live marine animals with an experienced instructor.
Observe, touch, and inquire about intertidal and kelp forest
inhabitants. Your hands-on program will also include a visit to the
aquarium afterwards. This program is based on classroom availability.
Group rates plus $85 program fee.
Maximum 20 people.
Coast Walk
Explore one of the most beautiful and diverse
meetings of land and sea in the world. Enjoy invigorating salt air and
admire dramatic settings while learning about local beaches and
history. Discover marine life, birds, plants, and geological
formations. The duration of the tour is one and a half-hours and the
walk will not exceed two miles.
