Discover an ocean full of adventure at Birch Aquarium. Lead your classes along the Pacific coast as they explore the exhibits of cool northern waters down to tropical coral reefs in Baja California, Mexico. Make sure to stop by the Tide-pool Plaza, outdoor shark display, Boundless Energy, There’s Something About Seahores and Feeling the Heat: The Climate Challenge exhibits.

Enhance your aquarium experience with  Self-Guided Explorations Flip Cards. Encourage peer-to-peer conversations  while discovering fun facts about marine life. Questions and answers are included on each card set. Please visit the information booth in the Galleria  to check out a set of cards for you group. Self-Guided Explorations cards are free of charge,  but they do require an ID to check out. Availablility is limited.

Pre-registration is required in advance.
A teacher and parent chaperones are admitted free for the purpose of supervising students within the following ratios. The student to chaperone ratio is 5:1 for K-12 and 2:1 for Pre-K classes. Extra chaperones are $15.50 each.  

College Students:
For all college students visiting Birch Aquarium at Scripps for a class assignment, we offer the following student rates for 2016-2017. Please purchase your tickets online in advance for $12.00 each.  All college admission tickets purchased at the gate are $15.00 each.
