Dreaming of a career in oceanography? Our five-day program provides a fun and educational glimpse into Scripps Institution of Oceanography by visiting scientists in their labs. See what it's really like to be an oceanographer through hands-on experiments and field explorations. Please note: This camp does not include aquatic sports.

Locations: Scripps Beach, La Jolla Shores
Limited to 15 participants per session.

Surf's up! Dive into the perfect blend of ocean sports, beach exploration, and marine science activities. Hone your surfing and oceanographic skills as you learn how beach shape and the ocean bottom play important roles in the waves we ride. Go snorkeling and kayaking to observe animals that share the waves with us. Campers must provide their own lunches, snorkel equipment, and transportation to and from each day's location. Intermediate swimming ability is required.
