LA JOLLA SURF BOWLWelcome to the La Jolla Surf Bowl, the regional competition for the National Ocean Sciences Bowl (NOSB). The next Regional Competition will be held March 6, 2010 on the Scripps Institution of Oceanography campus. The winning team will compete at the National Competition at University of South Florida in St. Petersburg, Fla., April 23-25, 2010. Visit nosb.org for more information. What is NOSB?NOSB, a program of the Consortium for Ocean Leadership and its partners, is a high school academic competition on topics related to the study of the oceans through SIO tours, field trips, and other ocean-related activities. This program is intended to increase knowledge of the oceans by high school students, their teachers and their parents. National Ocean Sciences Bowl influences new stewards of our oceans and fosters the next generation of marine scientists, technicians, educators and industry leaders.
