College Students & Professors

For all college students visiting Birch Aquarium at Scripps for a class assignment, we offer the following student rates for 2011-2012 (professors are admitted at no additional cost):

September — February: $6.50 per student
March — August:  $7.50 per student
Year-round walk-ups:  $10.00 per student

Please purchase your tickets online in advance. Tickets are $10 at the door.

HOURS OF OPERATION: 8:30-5 p.m. daily

If the college or university is covering the cost of the visit with a check or purchase order, eTickets can still be ordered in advance. Please call 858-534-7336 to make a reservation. Have a check, cash or purchase order ready by the date of your visit.

Students must check in at the Education Department between 9 a.m.-4 p.m. If they arrive after 4 p.m., they will need to enter through the main gate, and will have to pay the standard college admission price of $10.00 per student. Please keep in mind, the main gate will only admit visitors until 4:30 p.m. and the aquarium closes for the day at 5 p.m.
